Spent some time thinking about the recent winners of the Spiel Des Jahres and Kennerspiel. Played a little Praetor. Went 2-2 in an M15 prerelease this weekend!
Also talked a little about running a game lounge for a museum event and chatting with folks I wouldn’t otherwise meet!
Spent the day at a retailer’s trade show. Found out about a lot of organized play options… talk your ear off about Harbour, Progress and Dark Gothic.

Wherein I discuss a little bit of GenCon, my excitement over Penny Press, Panamax, and Imperial Settlers. My hope for ignacy trzewiczek. Portobello Market, and general sleepiness.
A look into Euphoria: Building a Better Dystopia
This is 2-6 player game that plays in around 60 minutes.
My thoughts on the game begin at minute 24… and my tangents go a little undone. whoops!!
I found the bits in the box to be superb! Beautifully done. The strategy is not deep, but the politics and faction-play keeps the game exciting.

A quick look at Coup, from the world of the Resistance. This is a multi-player game asking for bluffing and wizardry.
I backed this and am very happy with the results. I got an extra piece, and prettier money. This is great filler, people!
Reading about the new Race for the Galaxy expansion makes me very happy. This one has been in the works for a long time. I know this was to perfect the design… the components in Race have never been that impressive.
They had to get it right, Race is an institution. They are changing the format to a beloved title to give it a board. Exploration is now going to be tile-based.
Best news of all? It is shipping now.
I cannot wait to revisit one of my favoritist games ever… and to drag all my friends along with me.
Ginkgopolis is a 1-5 player game from Z-man Games. I love it!
Skip ahead to minute 20 to skip the rules overview. Play from the beginning to… not skip the rules overview.
Overall I’m delivering a 7.5/10!! Loves it!
Components are top notch. Nice-feeling cards, lots of wooden bits, not-useless(almost) player screens.
The gameplay is rather simple, but the rulebook is tangential and hard to decipher.
Playtime is short due to simultaneous action selection.
