Hi! I’m Maggi, AKA Marguerite Cottrell. I’ve launched this site to document my first steps into game reviews. My newest life goal is to be paid to play games, and deliver opinions. This site should detail both my journey playing and reviewing games, and also as a resource in new and exciting games as they come to market.
I fell into hobby gaming a little over three years ago. I moved to Seattle without any friends or contacts. Using Meetup.com i found a ton of local groups dedicated to playing board games. Being from rural California, I had never even seen the Settlers of Catan.
I wandered into a local game shop here. I relayed what I had seen in the new games and the clerk said that i might like this card game, Race for the Galaxy. I’ve been seriously addicted ever since.
I then got a job at probably the coolest game store ever. Hundreds of games later and i’m ready for the next step!
